I went ahead and booked it for an upcoming segment. Interestingly, I got auto-assigned a seat in row 23. I don't believe ANA auto assigns bulk-head rows, so that would seem to indicate they are planning on the 787 with extra legroom (and flat bed seats in Business). At least according to what I could glean from Seat Guru (which I trust just a smidge more than Smisek)
If I get some spare time today I might try some dummy bookings on ANA or someplace to see what kind of map they are showing for these segments.
Also looks like ANA is going to turn the 787 quick and have a late night departure back to NRT. Still only the ANA 777 and single TG flight in the morning.
