If you're starting from Penn Station anyway, you might as well hop over to the LIRR platforms and take the new AirTrain connection via Jamaica. It'll be cheaper, probably quicker, and possibly less hassle than coming up to the surface and finding a cab...

(JFK AirTrain opens next week, unless I'm much mistaken!)
