I agree that they aren't a steal at 30,000 points for a $400 certificate. OTOH, Amtrak partner awards all seem to provide 1 cent per point in value, so at 1.25 cents per point, this award is better than most partner awards. Using the cash value of a suite of $600, you get a more traditional 2 cents a point, which seems to be the approximate value of most of the Amtrak travel rewards.

I've been thinking about transferring some CO miles to redeem for this award. Thanks for the info, as it looks like a great way to redeem CO miles.

I think it's funny that I get CO miles for my Acela travel and now will transfer those miles back to Amtrak for redemption.
