That's my understanding, too - on the train from the conductor. However, since Auto Train is different from other Amtrak services (no intermediate stops, check in requirement before train departure), they should know what's going to be available before the train departs. So, it probably woudn't hurt to ask when you get to Lorton or Sanford.
