most tickets (unless they are non-refundable, which you will be forewarned about in the ticket buying process if i recall correctly) are refundable 100% if you don't take the train & if you arrange the refund BEFORE the train departs. Check the T&C about them - as for those coupon codes I e-mailed you, I suggest doing test sells to see which will provide the best discount...Since you're going from Seattle to Vancouver, i'll bet its a scenic ride. I've gone the DC-NY route a bunch of times and i've done the night train from DC to Savannah - terrible experience - if you want to read about it do a search under my username in the Amtrak forum - hope you have a better trip than I had - on the bright side, i did end up getting vouchers for me and my travelling companion - of course, now we've got $266 in non-transferable vouchers that we can't use unless we go to NY sometime soon - never taking the southern night trains again, that's for sure!
