Has anyone ever complained to Amtrak about the huge frequent traveler reward blackout around Xmas? Usually with the airlines, you can travel on free tickets on off-peak days around the Holidays. Amtrak's decision to blackout about 3 weeks before X-mas and after New Year's essentially makes it impossible to use your miles during that time period.

Just annoying to a program that otherwise makes redemption fairly straightforward and easy.
