Revising my profile and account I found this wording regarding my current status for 2015:

You are currently enjoying complimentary Premier Gold status in appreciation for your relationship with United.

I qualified late as a gold, actually had to fight for my miles with CM (the additional bonus 25% PQM miles for buying on copa.com) until late of January to get them for my flights on 31 December.

However the wording is really misleading.
Was I gifted the gold status instead receiving my bonus miles?

Anybody had a similar situation?
