This will be our first trip on an overnight train for our family (5 and 8 year old boys). They would get a big kick out of being in a sleeper car and having meals on board, watching movies (I believe there's also a kids' recreation room?). Any feedback on your experiences in regard to most scenic, best destination for sighseeing--Portland or Seattle (especially what to do once we're there). How many days should I plan are there ever promotional deals on these fares? Another option is to use Hilton Honors points but it is 427K roundtrip for two.
