No, not really. The midcon flights are generally a transcon entree, just no choice, plus a salad and the warmed cookies. It's more substantial.
A quick correction to AS Flyer's comment from recent personal experience.

There are some mid-con routes that do offer a full meal service with printed menu, a starter salad, choice of 2 entrees and a dessert. The SEA-DTW route is an example.
That is catered as a transcon.
