Both would be fine for connecting. Perhaps the edge to DFW in case of a spring snow storm in ORD. I think the biggest thing is the hardware. From ORD you will almost certainly get a retro-fitted 767 with lie flat seats. On the 777 from DFW, hopefully they will have the new 77D by then but the retrofits for 777-200 have been slower than I would have thought when they started. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can weigh in on whether or not they think a 77D is likely for this route by spring 2016.
