I just got my bill for annual fee for $450 for Platinum Amex. Money is tight this year and I find myself paying two $450 fees for two premium Amex cards.

I almost never use the card. I concentrate all my miles on Amex DL Reserve.

Maybe twice in the past four years I have booked a FHR hotel.

I did get Global Entry and that was great and I hope to keep it indefinitely.

I have never successfully used Priority Pass in any of my travels - I either have access as a DL PM or haven't needed it.

-- Can I transfer all my Membership Rewards (there are 71,000, accumulated over many years) and then cancel the card? It appears the fee came due last month as it appeared on a May 7 statement.

-- Which airline would you transfer MRs to? Open to other options. The account is also linked to Virgin Flying Club, SPG, and Honors.

I know there are some benefits like airline and luggage fees, etc. but I fly 99% of time on DL and get most of the things I need from DL PM and Amex DL Reserve. I feel like I really need to cut back for once, but want to extract maximum value before I do.

Your advice appreciated.
