Just a heads up...
My WNBC Ch 4 New York signal via DirectTv and broadcast antenna has been perfect for quite some time now. It took some time after 9/11 for them to fix thier signal, but if memory serves me correct the signal was as it should be within 6 months.
I do recall PBS (New York) via DirectTV being of poor quality for an extended time until they set up a direct "feed" to DirectTV as thier broadcast power was lost/diminished after 9/11.
But I have no trouble receiving any of the New York locals via broadcast antenna or DirectTV now.
