Corky, the FAQ covers most of this. You can draw from an unlimited number of funds by rolling the funds into dummy reservations which you cancel. However it's not necessary smart to apply a $69 almost-dead fund to $400 ticket. If you have to cancel, you lose the whole $400, unless it was a refundable fare.
Do you qualify for senior fare? That's refundable.
All of us here track our own funds. Southwest might find funds you lose, but it's harder for them than it is for you to track it in the first place.
The fare for ticket I wanted to purchase was around $300....I wanted to use the $69 as if was expiring soon and the balance from my other unused funds and then there would still be some leftover but it wouldn't expire until next year. I was told if using the $69 I could not use my other unused funds for the balance. ...I would have to pay for the balance. so is that correct that if I have multiple unused funds under different locator numbers I can not combine them towards purchase of one ticket ?
