Broadway in Worcestershire?

The A429 past Stow-on-the-Wold (always tend to think of it as Stow In The Wilds, it's definitely a bit isolated from any other built up area) to Cirencester is quite a good road. Nice and fast, though I suspect they've put speed cameras on it since my student days going home to get my laundry done visit my mother In my responsible adult status these days I encourage safe driving at moderate speeds.

You could take a side detour, perhaps through Stroud, if you want, but the A429 is nice. I expect there's a cream tea opportunity in Stow.

However when you get near Bath, don't take the A429/A4 approach to the west of Bath via Chippenham. Definitely take the A46 approach over the top of the downlands and down the steeper inclines toward Bath, it's a great view. I think you can even still take the older road at Swainswick, labelled Gloucester Road, to take the narrow old road down to the valley, instead of the new bypass built a decade or so ago in a cutting.

At some point, also drive out the A363 south of Bath towards Bradford-upon-Avon, nice views there. Mind the ghost at "Sally in the Wood" (allegedly).
