I'm starting to see places with no customer facing terminals dwindle more and more. Happy to see & hear this!
Remember Chick Fil A as of a few weeks ago was hand the card over, now they have customer facing equipment. I expect the same out of the rest of these QSRs. The only places I can see that won't have customer facing equipment would be sit down restaurants, as well as Wendy's. I'll never go to Wendy's again, not only for their stupid stance against EMV, but the quality of food as well.
Everywhere else I see customer facing equipment just pop up left and right, most with NFC enabled. Recently being PostNet- a "privately owned" mailing and shipping post office- had MX915 with Apple Pay logos on them! Last week you had to hand them the card! They duct taped over the cashier MSR, and instruct all customers to slide their own cards.
