My friend is coming to town and we would like to have a bit of a "girls weekend" in NYC. We were planning on springing for a nice hotel, will probably be enjoying spa services, etc.

We are trying to decide between the Eventi and The Chatwal. Would anyone recommend one property over the other?

Price-wise they are about the same for the rooms we are looking at and both are relatively close to Penn Station (she will be taking the train) I haven't stayed at either, but they appear to have the same standards for their accommodations. I'm both a Kimpton Karma and SPG member, but expect few "extras" at both aside from free internet. Given that they seem utterly similar, would anyone know anything that might swing me one way or another?
