Some people who pay more for any product or service do have higher expectations. Others do not.

I'm pretty sure the last time I checked, we all still had choices.

I am also 100% sure that FFs and FTers do not represent but a small percent of AC (and other airlines') fliers.

How much money and time do you think AC wants to spend catering to us?

Eg. It used to be that if you were SE with AC, you were given and expected a certain type of product or service.

But now, SEs as a group have been segmented again into VIP SEs, MM+SEs and let's call them low-hanging-fruit SEs. AC is not necessarily going to spend money on all of these SE groups, let alone all of their other fliers.

My point, again, is that is not about what my expectations are, it is about the promises made by AC and other airlines and businesses, and how those companies manage the expectations of their customers.

Many others do it better than AC. AC can improve. If they do not, they clearly figured out the ROI on improving is not worth the investment, which is fine.

But, nothing worse than making a promise and not delivering.
Better not to promise and OVER-deliver.
