why is anyone surprised?

1. new 10 across Y seats, are a downgrade, slim line seats in 787 are nasty.
2. AC "enhancement" to the FF program, were atrocious.
3. AC winning the award last year for the "rudest flight attendants in NA"
4. AA and Delta are BOTH coming out with new seats, new planes and a new attitude.
5.AC abysmal handling of delays. ( last week a friend had a 5 hr mechanical delay to MUC and AC compensation of 5% was an insult)
6. All 3 American legacy carrier are improving food quality. ( debatable if its any better IMHO)
7. the disaster of Rouge and the 777HD.

SO the US airlines are coming out with positive improvements or at least announcements while AC is still trying to figure out how to be efficient. Since AC is one of the least efficient airlines in NA they still have to cut.

After this award I wonder if AC will still try to convince customers they are a 3* airline.
