Something tells me Dad would have been one of those "acting out parents" who make those he comes in contact LESS likely to assist. I saw it once on SW. Mom got on and proceeded to make a huge stink about not being able to sit with her kid. People who actually had been about to move just sat back down and left her there to pitch her fit. SHe did not sit with the child (who was probably 6 or so) and only sat down once the pilot came out and gave her the "but in a seat or off the plane" lecture LOL Kid was very well behaved! Mom was the real child there!
