If you are flying alone, would you rather have a Delta Comfort+ middle seat (for the extra legroom, free alcohol, closer to the front, and better OHB space), or would you rather have a non-preferred aisle/window seat? This excludes exit rows.
I am wondering because as a gate agent, I like to fill up the DC+ cabin, but sometimes I leave middle seats empty if the only people left are in aisles or windows.
If the flight is empty, I will move the Medallion to the DC+ middle seat and block his/her original seat so he/she can choose which seat to take.
Edit: Thanks for the feedback. I'll fill up aisles with customers already in aisles/windows with customers already in windows. I won't worry about middle seats unless someone specifically requests one.
It's an interesting idea. In consideration that many DMs and perhaps other elites track seat availability, one would think they have already expressed their choice. However, perhaps calling them to the podium prior to boarding might be
