I qualified to my level by taking ridiculous routes back the UK last summer when I had an ill relative to visit. Things like YYT-YYZ-ATH-CDG with a seperate ticket CDG-ARN-LHR. That used 3 airlines. When that was costing the same all in as YYT-LHR in flex.

Think they might have twigged, this summer prices YYT-LHR are about 50% less than a year ago. Interestingly, LHR-YYT is over double the price of YYT-LHR, so Dublin is still my airport of departure if I need a UK-Canada ticket but that's by the by. I don't have much travelling planned this year but if I did, I know I'd actually buy a ticket to London, either direct or through Toronto rather than around the houses!
