Stay Report, 5/10-5/11:
Location: The hotel is located off CA-237 just west of I-880. It's about 5 miles from the US 101. Heading south on McCarthy Blvd. takes you to a gas station and about five minutes farther is SJC. In the same complex with the hotel is a McDonalds and an In-N-Out Burger as well as several restaurants.
Hotel: A standard HGI. The parking lot is large which is nice as this can be considered an airport hotel for SJC. The lobby is nice enough and there was a small bar that was staffed when we arrived late in the evening.
Check In: Handled a bit too quickly for my liking. We were offered water bottles but my status wasn't recognized nor were we explained basic stuff like the internet, breakfast etc. without me having to ask, oh well.
Room: Pretty basic. Outlets near the bed which were nice but overall it felt a lot like a Hampton Inn, I've certainly been in nicer HGI rooms. Still, the shower also worked well and there was a Keurig which was very nice.
Other: Annoyingly, breakfast doesn't start until 7 AM on Sundays so I was unable to partake in it. Getting to SJC took only 5 minutes, this works very well as an airport hotel for San Jose.
Our rate was $95 and as it's a very easy drive to SJC, I'd stay here again.
