I like WT+ (old and new!) and can sleep reasonably well there. Of course I'd prefer to be in CW but by the time I'm out of the airport I honestly don't think CW over WT+ makes any difference at all to my mental or physical well-being.
You can get good or bad food/neighbours/crew/flights in any class of travel. It's particularly galling to opt to shell out a chunk your own money to upgrade and have a crappy time for whatever reason.
I don't think I'm going to be quite so flash with the cash this year. Let's see how that goes for a while.
I would have to agree with this. My company is a WTP for long haul outfit. I've been religiously UUAing where possible - but I haven't ever taken an AUP - too pricey for me.
BUT - the conclusion I'm coming to (on my 7 hour YYZ-LHR flights) is that it's not making a massive difference. I still get home and pass out for further 2 hours. The difference seems to be how 'with it' I am the following evening. It's not massive, but I do feel slightly more 'present' after a good CW sleep than a good WTP sleep.
Given it's not such a huge difference - and the increase in the UUA cost - I'm now considering backing off and staying in WTP.
