Not to bore you with details, but, it wasn't just manufacturers in general and TY Preferred users in particular that were nuked, many habitual 'bonus abusers' were as well (with nary a manufacturing done, let alone even having said TY Preferred card)
Interesting. I never read that thread while it was current. I browsed it now but cannot figure out what drove the account closings.
I have churned only to collect AA miles. At its height I was getting two cards at a time, 75K miles each for $1500 spend. Neither I nor others doing the same ever got shut down. I am not sure what the difference is, and I cannot find details in that long thread of "many habitual 'bonus abusers' were as well (with nary a manufacturing done, let alone even having said TY Preferred card)"
