Staying at the property now & reading this, I am not sure how its "below the brand standard"?

I have been to 3 St. Regis properties (Princeville, Puerto Rico and Osaka) and I don't see this one as below the standard in the above captioned thread:
- butler arrived within minutes of check-in, with a welcome drink and chocolates. She asked what other drinks we would like? Ordered a cafe au lait and an OJ and she was back in minutes;
- butler offered to show us the key features of the room and that was definitely worth it e.g. controls for the lights, sheers, curtains, coffee maker.
- butler asked if she could unpack for us and did so.
- butler asked if I wanted my shirts pressed, and she did so (I only wanted 2, but that is evidently the standard!)
- butler returned with our beverage of choice each time we called - included;
- butler arranged turn down service at a time which was convenient for us.

I was impressed. The fact that many of the butlers are women is fantastic - especially in Japan! Currently, the exec butler Shiho Kiyokawa is a woman. Also, there is no expectation of tipping each time. That fact makes it much more of a service experience.

I engaged the chief butler by e-mail 48 h prior to my arrival - about room type, suite upgrade and check-in time and it was well worth it!

To wrap, the exercise room (not great) is now on the 14th floor. Views of the city/harbor are breathtaking and the property no longer comps the mini bar (NB one of the butlers I met remembered when!)
