I have friends travelling IB codeshare operated by Vueling FCO - ATH wanting to take a few bottles of good Italian red wines with them to visit family in Greece but aren't sure how much wine they would be allowed to pack into their checked luggage so would anyone on the board know? I've searched all over IB's website but it says nothing about wine or alcohol in checked bags and their reservations line was of even less help.

I've told the passengers not to bother as the chances of the bottles being broken even if very well wrapped are high but thought it couldn't hurt to ask here.
