Hello! Now that El Al's Fly Card and Fly Card Premium have been out for some time, I'd like to hear about any interesting experiences with them - especially regarding the Premium.

I noticed that one of the benefits is free upgrades to Economy Plus or Preferred Seats upon availability. How is the success rate looking for getting the upgrade (especially on UP flights)?

How many of you have signed up for the card?

I have the regular Diners Fly Card. It's saved me enough to make it worth the monthly fee so far because of the reduced point redemptions on 3 tickets which I otherwise would not have had enough points to book.

However, I'm still not sure how worthwhile it will be for me in the long run (especially after the change which designated credit card points as having a 3 year expiration).

Thoughts? Any interesting ways to boost monthly spend to the 10,000 mark in order to be eligible for the Premium?

I found it interesting that in the terms and conditions, one need not actually meet the 10,000 spend requirement in order to keep the 190:1 point earning ratio. However, you will lose the other benefits if you fail to meet it (such as the free seat upgrades).
