Alaska Air Gold Status Upgrade
I am flying to Vancouver in a week and have also used companion pass that one gets with the credit card. The ticket I bought is probably the most discounted fare.

When I checked in this morning, I get an option for Gold Status upgrade for both departing and returning flights. Any idea what this is?
