I had a $495 load disappear into the ether today. The first receipt printed out normal, but then an extra slip printed out stating that the transaction couldn't be completed. Sure enough the money was taken off the VGC, but didn't make it to the Redcard. I called AMEX. Their response is it's a system outage and it could take 3-5 days for the money to show up. They advised I keep my receipt in the meantime.
