I stopped getting angry at taxis refusing my business. There are plentiful of them and most of them are rather lovely people from Isaan. So even if I can get only on the fourth or fifth cab I will not use my energy anymore becoming upset but just let it go. Life is too short and being in Thailand is already enough punishment.

We will not change Thailand and they are on a slippery slope. The only thing I still wonder how they manage to have still such a good image (marketing ?), there are so many nice places to go and then I read about crazy people going on a honeymoon to polluted Chiang Mai (where places like Luang Prabang exist). Crazy world, crazy FT.
