That you have been offered any car on the isle, on a economy reservation, can be seen either as a glitch, or as a gesture of goodwill. If you want to be sure to use the aisle you need to book intermediate. I'm not sure with the new homepage but on the classic version it will show "aisle accessible" at the point where you select the car class.
