Hi folks,
I'm a recent convert to National from Enterprise and quite enjoy the Emerald Aisle Service offered at LAX as an Emerald Club member.
I have a few questions regarding the rentals at LAX (and Aisle service in general) and hope some of you can answer some questions.
1. I once booked an economy car and the difference for an Aisle reservation was rather significant @ $20+ extra per day in addition to the base rate. I went inside to see the agent at the desk. She simply told me to pick any car in the Emerald Aisle. I was afraid I'd have to pay a higher rate, but upon returning the vehicle, I only paid the original rental rate. Is this correct? (I'm not complaining!)
2. At locations where the Aisle program is offered, does it matter if I make a reservation for an economy car or standard (aisle?) Will the rate be any different when I pick the car up?
Also, I quite like the VW Jetta as a rental. I really enjoy driving it. The Camry was a bit boring, but afterall, it is a Camry. Didn't care too much for the Sonata or Altima. Thanks!
Mike
