I hate sitting in Y so I would probably do it. But I think economically this is debatable proposition. If you value miles at 1.9 cpm (and I do), that's $975 for a one-way upgrade. If you do it RT, the total (fare + co-pay + value of miles) probably prices out not to far less than a P fare. And no PQD/RDM for that co-pay.
