Hi, similar question as OP. I am looking at CPT-SZK and SZK-JNB for Nov/Dec. I cashed in my meager 9k Voyager miles for a SA Airlink Mileagekeeper award. When I call, I am told that there's no MK availability on either of those legs. Also, UA is not showing *A availability on any Airlink flights I search.

My questions:

1) Does anyone have any experience actually using a MK award? I can't decide whether there is EVER availability at this level or whether it's a ruse.

2) Has anyone ever found *A availability to/from SZK?

My flights come to about US$1,000 for two, so I'd rather use some miles than pay. Especially the MK awards I am holding and which expire in November.
