Fly J EWR to HKG and then HKG to SIN. The flight from EWR arrives at 5:40am (CX0899).

When booking the agent said, well looks like the next flight to SIN leaves at 11:35. I figured this was good timing wise to ensure we were not rushed in HKG. Would give us enough time to take a shower and enjoy some food in the lounges before going on to SIN.

But then I started looking at the Flights HKG to SIN and some seem to offer their long haul lie flat but not the flight we are on now. It looks like if we switched to CX759 at 9 am or CX635 at 3:15 that we'd get the long haul J.

At the bottom of the Post are all the flights. It's an award flight and I think 759 is NOT available but looks like CX635 is.

The question for 759 is it were available is 3 hours and 20 min. enough in the am or a fam of 4 to shower eat etc. Then for 635, does it make sense to stay at HKG an extra 4 hours just to have the long haul J seats? We'll be coming back through HKG and staying over so don't really need to go into HKG either. Of course the other question is how likely is it the configuration would change from regional to long or vice versa? Thanks!
