You're flying from EDI to DUB via MAD? With a child. Why? Take a direct flight, fly via London, or even take the train/ferry.
If both flights are at T4, you have a decent chance, although your luggage less so. If one or both are at T4S, you will have a harder time, since you would have to go through security again.
