@flyer4512 - Thank you for your inputs, I did call up and the CSR had not issues in considering my requesting but however she said I had to call them up once I pass 2k spending. She also mentioned that notes were added to my profile regarding the request for future use. Hope they honor when I call back.

In my experience with Chase ( IHG) and requesting bonuses be matched I got a SM CLEARLY stating I would get the matched offer (which I did) , in this case IHG 80K when I applied for 70K.
I would SM Chase and get a response in writing and not go on a conversation with a CSR.
Here is the SM I received I sent and the reply I received from Chase
I signed up under an offer that said I would get 70,000 IHG points for spending $1,000 in 3 months on my new card.
Three days after I applied I was searching for reservations and an offer for 80,000 points popped up for the same type card.
Is there any chance I could get the bonus offer of 80,000 points ?
