That earning rate, plus occasional transfer bonuses, has long made the Amex Premier Rewards Gold more attractive than the BA Visa -- even for BA purchases (unless one values the 2-4-1, as I do). The Amex PRG becomes better still next month with the end of foreign transaction fees.
