I've done this many times in past and always found seats. I even used AA website to confirm that it's available to redeem on AA. Why is it seats shown on AA not available on BA system? help.. what happened? Any idea how I can book 25k mile seats with AA, Ba or United pts?
If you have, in fact, found seats on the AS OAK-HNL nonstop at aa.com, then hang up and call BAEC again, until you get a competent agent. Give the agent the AS flight number and the exact date of travel.

Both AA and UA will charge more miles than BA for a roundtrip between California and Hawaii on nonstop flights.
