I don't see how this is not so good for hotel guests. There are three pools and more than ample beach space at the St. Regis. The hotel management works hard to balance the needs of both guests and club members (who pay substantial fees) during the high season. In addition to capacity controls that are in place during the holidays, the St. Regis limits the number of guests that can accompany members at all times. We and other club members I know also spend significant amounts on food and beverage at the St. Regis throughout the year. I would guess that our patronage is just as important to the hotel as other guests.
