She just voided it and I thanked her for verifying it for me. It's not also in our weekly CVS ad so it must be one of those regional random loss leader offers.
Were you seeing a shelf tag that showed a price of $.01? I've seen this at several stores recently (CVS was one; I think Sam's Club was another). I asked about it - was told that they couldn't put "$0.00" on the tag, so they put $.01 instead - but the actual price is whatever you load on the card, plus the activation fee.
