I was concerned that I'd miss out something. When canvassing my Japanese friends for winter destinations, Niigata always came up. Seeing as that Nagano will roughly have the same things to offer, I'll be content with staying there.

The plan, right now, is Takayama with a trip to Shirakawa. So probably snow boots are in order.
