I am starting to think some of the passes sold were indeed counterfeit. I bought two passes from united directly on my cell phone app last year and did not get to use them. Last month I gave them to my spouse and kid and when they used them in Chicago, they were told the passes had been used already. I think someone might have cycled through all these codes producing counterfeits.
