Yes, it's three slow beeps and a red light for a PreCheck on invalid BP. It's three fast beeps and a green light for PreCheck on a valid BP.

OP, do you have Global Entry? If so, if you make sure AA has your KTN, you should get PreCheck on the AA segment as well.
