It may be the property messed up and only authorized the deposit and never finalized it. Sometimes it's tough to tell what is pending and what is final. Also, some properties don't attempt to charge the AP until closer to stay. Maybe someone put it in when it shouldn't have been. Lots of speculation, only way to get facts would be to contact the property.
Do keep checking your reservation. If the property has messed up on the billing, they could very well mess up and cancel the rez if they feel the deposit was denied. I would hope they would attempt to contact the guest, but we know that doesn't always happen.
