Sorry for dredging up an old thread but I just booked my first transcon on Amtrak in a bedroom and am quite excited.

AGR let me book 3 adults into a bedroom for 60K +10.5K all with meals and all on the same ticket. Cap Limited & Cali Z. Originally agent said it couldn't be done but they checked with some special circumstances dept that said it can be done on non-revenue award tickets only, not allowed on rev tickets. I find that interesting... Mentioned something about constantly shifting policies and how its allowed now but may not be in the future. Odd.

Still though took over 45 min to book but got it eventually. Yes I know its gonna be super tight. But hey, I'm on the top bunk so...
