Should I ditch SQ?
Hi all,
I've been with SQ KrisFlyer for about 12 years and have been Silver for the last few years, which basically is a useless status to have. Always accrued miles on Y with them and redeemed on J. A good portion of my miles comes from credit card spending. Now as I'm growing older, I'm considering disloyalty to SQ mainly because I want to fly more in Y+ or J but SQ J fares are beyond my budget. I travel for pleasure about 3 or 4 times a year mainly to Europe and South East Asia. I've noticed that airlines (with decent premium product) like Cathay Pacific, Air France/ KLM, BA, LH or even ANA have more affordable premium fares.
What would you folks out here suggest? Should I stick to SQ or join another program? Which program in your opinion would be better to stay loyal to? Would be interested to hear the pros and cons from your experience. Been doing some research lately both here on FT and individual programs websites, but it has left me even more confused than ever. So please help me decide!
Appreciate your input, thanks heaps.
