I will defer to you if you have actual experience but I don't see why this wouldn't be allowed. EY's website says inter-terminal transfers are not allowed; it says nothing about inter-airport transfers. Worst comes to worst you can walk over a footbridge from LGA to an airport hotel (Sheraton or the Clarion?) and ask EY to pick you up from there for the ride to JFK.
