Perhaps AirBaltic and Etihad even have a baggage interline agreement which would save you from claiming and re-checking your bag in ZRH. Call the airlines to find out.

I didn't think of that, so I'll give that a try airoli. But in the worst case scenario, would an hour and fifteen minutes be enough to clear customs at Zurich airport? Not having to go through immigration should save time.
