A little more info on where in the page source you can find your application ID if you get to step 3, but aren't given one:
View the source of the page, then search for any of these terms:
2015 or 2015MMDD (which means today would be 20150504)
AppID
sppID
The application ID will be in the format YYYYMMDD#######. So this could be a valid application for today, 5/4/15: 201505041234567.
